Privacy Policy
Armond Schneider (“Arkive”, “we”, “us”) makes a personal notes app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it’s protected. The short version: your notes stay on your device, account data lives with our hosting provider, and Arkive runs no ads, analytics, or trackers.
What we collect
When you create an account with Sign in with Apple, we receive your name and — if you choose to share it — your email address. As you set up Arkive, we also save a few onboarding details, such as your name, how you plan to use the app, and, optionally, how you heard about us.
If you upload a profile photo, we store it privately, visible only to you.
Your notes, images, and settings are stored locally on your device. They never leave it. If that ever changes, we’ll update this policy first.
What we don’t collect
No analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs, no ads, and no push tokens in the current build.
How we use your information
To create and run your account, show your profile, save your settings, and delete your data when you ask. That’s it — your data isn’t used for advertising and isn’t sold.
Where your data lives
Account data and profile photos are hosted by Supabase in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Administrative credentials stay on the server side and are never included in the app.
Sharing
We don’t sell your data. We share it only with Supabase, which processes it on our behalf to run the service, or when required by law.
Retention and deletion
Signing out keeps your local notes on the device. Deleting your account removes your account data, your profile photo, and that account’s local notes and images. This is irreversible.
There’s no self-serve export yet — contact us if you’d like a copy of your data.
Your rights
You can correct your name in Settings, and delete your account in Settings → Delete Account. For access, correction, or deletion requests under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws, contact witharkive@gmail.com.
Children
Arkive isn’t intended for children under 13 (or the higher minimum age where you live).
Changes to this policy
We’ll post updates on this page. Continuing to use Arkive after a change means you accept the updated policy.
